Facial Procedures:
Surgical and Non-surgical
Your face is what you present to the world. It is what other people see and it greets you in the morning when you look in the mirror. Rightly or wrongly you may be judged by your facial appearance. Many patients consult with me because they feel they look old or tired or are dissatisfied with one or more facial features.
Facial plastic surgery is an art. It is often about finding the hidden beauty or lost youth within a face. Modern techniques are less invasive and with a greater understanding of how the face ages, these techniques are entirely more appropriate. The tight, windswept, operated look of over-pulled facelifts is something of the past. A greater emphasis on three-dimensional rejuvenation to re-create the curves and form of youth results in a far more natural and pleasing appearance.
Forever young. There are good procedures that can help retard or slow the facial aging process. These include Botox and Dysport, fillers and minor operative procedures.
Younger faces can benefit too. Individual features may be enhanced (lips, cheeks, ears, noses, etc) or the face can just be made generally more attractive, often with relatively simple procedures. Eyelid surgery and fat grafts are typical for this age
Men’s faces are different from women’s and require a different approach. Some procedures can feminize the face, which is often undesirable in men. Men need smaller, simpler procedures, often with less downtime. Frequently these procedures focus on the eyes and the neck.
