Sept 06

Hi Dirk - Just writing to say thanks heaps for the rhinoplasty! It's amazing to not feel the self consciousness that I did prior to the op - I feel totally comfortable with myself now. It's been two months and the swelling has settled a lot and only a little bit of numbness remains in the tip. Thinking back now I can't believe I was so worried (and almost put off the op) about having to wear the splint for two weeks - it seems quite irrelevant now!

Anyways, just a quick note to say how pleased I am with the results (my husband has also commented on how nice it looks). See you in October.

You will be pleased to know that I have had no problems to date following my rhinoplasty. I'm really pleased with the result and can see a huge difference now that the swelling has subsided. I will send you some pics in another few weeks.

Just to say thanks for all that you did, staying at the coachhouse was great and perfect for recouperating.

Could you please also pass on my thanks to Cathie, she was most helpful.

I got home Monday morning and my father even saw the difference from a distance, he really likes it!! Some people dont even see it and some say that there is a huge difference. The skin is no longer peeling or dry only when i bend over the pick something up then I can feel a little bit of pressure, and of course the tip of the nose is sensitive like you said, other then that I am doing very well and feel very good about my self!!!

I could not thank you because I could hardly speak without starting to cry!!

You must do these operations a view times a week or month but, for me this was a life changing decision and I have you to thank for it.

So thank you ever so much for everything and the nurses of course they are so lovely and kind!!

I will keep you posted with the nose and if anybody ever wants to talk about the operation or has questions they are more then welcome!!

Hello Dr. Lazarus,

I made three weeks yesterday and there are still no scars! The right side healed "seamlessly" and the left is also settling down! This is surprising as I usually scar so easily. Is it still too early to rejoice?

I also had my first post-op photo taken yesterday and the transformation is simply amazing. It has brought out all the positive features which had previously been obscured/crowded out.

I am still not used to it though. I find it has that overly neat, slightly pinched look that I am not used to. But I realise this is because I am too self conscious. Amazingly no one else seems to have noticed. (But then again I have not had the courage to be seen without my glasses!)

Once again, thank you for a wonderful job.

Anyway this is just a quick mail to say my nose is still fine and I'm still very happy with the results.
