Plastic surgery is visual and therefore if you want me to understand your problem better, please send me photographs. Photographs need to be well taken in a standard fashion for me to derive any benefit from them. Please read and follow the guidelines below before sending me pictures. It takes me time to open and look at pictures and I do not charge for this service. Please therefore be respectful and send pictures according these guidelines.
Social photographs - you with a bunch of people at a party - or tourist photographs outdoors in slanting sunlinght are no good. I need proper clinical photographs taken indoors in good light.
Photographs should be taken from at least 2-3 meters away and then zoomed in to include the whole anatomical area - see the guidelines and examples below. They should be a portrait of the area.
For eyes, mouth, face, neck, ears, etc - any feature or the whole face, I need to see your whole face from the top of your head to the bottom of your neck. The camera should take the pictures at your eye level.
For breasts I need to see the tops of your shoulders to the belly button. The camera should be at the level of your nipples.
For tummy or liposuction assessments, I need to see from the breasts to the knees. The camera should be at the level of the belly button looking horizontally straight at you.
For assessment of scars and lesions, please follow the same principles.
I generally need at least 5 views. The first view is from the front. This means straight from the front! I will need a L and R true side view. I will also need a L and R oblique view. For body photographs for liposuction assessments I will also need a back view.
The photographs need to be in focus. Blurry photographs are useless to me.
Get somebody to take the photographs for you. Self taken photographs on a cellphone tend to be pretty useless: out of focus, too close and with a fisheye distortion as a result and taken from peculiar angles.
Photograph size should be somewhere between 800x600 and 1280x1024 - more or less that size.
The file size should be no more than a hundred KB. Please don't send me files over a 1MB in size - it is both inconsiderate and unnecessary.
