In fact Cape Town was voted 1st place as the Top Destination of the World in the 2011 survey of Travellers' Choice done by Tripadvisor! The travel review site asked travellers world wide to vote for their favorite destination and Cape Town made it to the No. 1 out of 25 Top destinations of the world. With gorgeous beaches, magnificent mountains and a year round Mediterranean climate, nature has been exceptionally generous.

The people are cosmopolitan and warm; friendly and relaxed. We are justifiably proud of our city which has so much to offer - especially unbeatable value for money. Recent initiatives such as the introduction of metropolitan police and CCTV have made the city much safer than in the past.
