Dr Anthony Jackson is a South African trained Specialist general surgeon in Cape Town. He consults and operates at the Christian Barnard Memorial Hospital in the heart of Cape Town.
He is also head of the Department of Surgery at the New Somerset Hospital – a regional teaching hospital and satellite hospital to Groote Schuur Hospital.
His special interests and expertise are in endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), laparoscopic surgery, oncological surgery and trauma surgery.
Procedures offered to foreign patients on an elective basis include the
following:
(i) VARICOSE VEINS (surgery and / or injection sclerotherapy)
(ii) HERNIAS (inguinal, femoral, umbilical) – tension free mesh
repair
(i) GASTROSCOPY / COLONOSCOPY
(ii) GALL STONES (laparoscopic cholecystectomy)
All surgery is performed in the comfort of a private hospital. The accompanying anaesthetist, surgical assistants and nursing staff are highly qualified and extremely competent.
